Questions, answered

Is there a free plan?
Not permanently. SYLAR offers a 7-day free trial with full access to every feature — a payment method (card or store billing) is required to start the trial, but you won't be charged until the trial ends and you can cancel any time before then. You can use SYLAR for free indefinitely as a client, but to publish your business profile (make it visible on the Discovery map and bookable by clients) requires an active subscription.
How does billing work?
You're billed monthly by the Apple App Store or Google Play, starting the day your 7-day trial ends. Local currency, local taxes handled automatically. You can cancel in Settings → Subscriptions → SYLAR at any time, and your access continues until the end of the paid period.
What counts as "unlimited"?
Unlimited means no artificial caps on clients, bookings, reviews, chat messages, or CRM entries. Realistic fair-use policy applies to prevent abuse (e.g. a business cannot use SYLAR as a bulk SMS spam tool). We'll reach out if we see unusual patterns.
Can I use SYLAR without publishing an app?
Yes. Even without subscribing, you can prepare your business profile, add services and staff, and invite clients to a private draft. Publishing to the Discovery map requires an active subscription.
Do you charge per-booking fees?
No. Unlike many enterprise booking platforms, SYLAR does not take a cut of your bookings. Your revenue is your revenue.
What if I have multiple locations?
Each location = one subscription, each with its own branded profile inside SYLAR. A multi-location discount is planned for late 2026. Contact support@sylar.app if you run more than three locations — we'll arrange something.
Can I switch from another platform?
Yes. SYLAR supports CSV import for your client list. Services, staff, and schedule are re-created in SYLAR (usually takes 15-30 minutes for a small business). We'll help if you email support@sylar.app.
How do refunds work?
Subscriptions are billed through Apple or Google, so refunds are handled by the respective store. Apple typically issues a refund for accidental or unused purchases; Google has similar flexibility. Contact the app store directly.
Will the price change?
Early subscribers are grandfathered in: if you sign up at $9.90, you stay at $9.90 for as long as your subscription is continuous. Prices for new subscribers may change over time.
Do you sell my data?
No. Your client list, bookings, and reviews are yours. We do not sell personal data or share it with advertising networks. See our Privacy Policy for the full rundown.
